Makers Mark Still House & Fermenter Additions
Loretto, Kentucky
Maker’s Mark Still House and Fermenter Additions include demolition of an existing building and two building additions at the processing facility in Loretto, KY. The Still House addition is a 3,000 SF, 5 story, wood timber frame addition adjacent to the existing Stills. Housed in the addition is a new distillation column and mash cooker. Also included is a new, 5 story exit stair attached to the existing building. The new Fermenter addition is located within the footprint of an existing Fermenter building. The existing Fermenter tanks must be rigged to their new location, and the existing building demolished. The new 12,000 SF addition is then constructed with new Fermenter tanks installed prior to the roof structure.
The architectural design intent for both buildings is to match the existing “look” of the old distillery and blend to appear as old as the existing.
